Since when have you been a uvex athlete?
Actually since I could walk – well, to be more precise, since 1995 when I stood on skis for the first time. From the first children’s ski races to my career as a professional athlete from 2007 to 2020 right up to today as a leisure skier: uvex and I, that’s a real long-term connection.
How did you come to uvex?
I remember that very clearly! 1995, me as a little kid with big plans, I told my mum very directly: “For Christmas please a cool uvex goggle! That way I’ll ski not only more safely, but also faster!” Whether it was the style or the speed, who knows – in any case that was the beginning of a long love.
What were your most important achievements so far?
Achievements? They just gather dust on the business card and eventually fade away. Much more important: I had a dream time as a professional athlete, with cool encounters, great people, unforgettable moments and a clear insight: skiing is the best sport of all. And with the right partners at your side – like uvex – it’s simply twice as fun.
What do you love about the uvex brand?
Professionalism, safety, reliability, individuality – and in addition always direct contact persons who really listen. That’s how it should be.
What do you associate with uvex?
Above all gratitude and humility, having built and maintained such a lifelong bond. I’m looking forward to many more adventures together!
