Since laservision was founded in 1987, the uvex group has offered a comprehensive portfolio of laser protection products, including eyewear and shielding made from special glass, plastics and technical fabrics. Rather than limiting itself to individual technologies, laservision uses the full range of modern laser protection materials to provide maximum protection.
The eyewear model “L01” was one of the first laser safety glasses from laservision. Notable features included cold-formable temples and adjustable inclination, which ensured optimum adjustment. High wearing comfort was provided by the wide nose bridge, the anatomically shaped basic design of the glasses and soft padding on the forehead. The L01 was suitable for all filter types: full-protection filters and alignment filters. Reflection protection, soft leather side shields and ambient light protection completed the features of this model, which stood for absolute safety.
The “L04” was also known as the “chief physician’s glasses Goldline with glass filter and mirror”. It was characterised by excellent peripheral vision (4 filters) and a resulting 230-degree field of view. Its high-quality frame achieved top values in DIN testing. This 1996 eyewear model was therefore particularly important for high-powered lasers in the fields of medicine, science and industry.
Since their introduction in 2020, the titanium-based patient glasses have protected patients during medical laser treatments in the wavelength range from 180 to 25,000 nm. In addition to their high laser resistance, the titanium eye cups are nickel-free and exhibit immunological inertness.
The F46 eyewear frame received the German Innovation Award in 2021 – as it was the first new development of laser safety glasses from laservision in many years. Using the Clipnetic magnetic system, the flexible nose bridge can be exchanged as required for the RX insert or the Clipnetic cover. With the Clipnetic cover, the F46 can be worn as a lightweight over-glasses solution over the wearer’s own prescription glasses, while with the soft, adjustable nose bridge it can be worn as a comfortable pair of laser safety glasses. Users who require vision correction can use customised prescription lenses with the RX insert. The magnetic system allows the different inserts to be removed, for example for cleaning, without any tools and with a single movement. This level of flexibility is currently unique on the laser protection market.
The F47 was the first laser safety eyewear to feature two rimless filters. The large filters with base curve 8 ensure outstanding all-round vision without restriction and, thanks to their filter height, offer a large coverage area for maximum laser safety. The new F47 frame is particularly characterised by its extremely low weight (25 g) and sporty design.
With its sporty design, the F47 laser safety eyewear frame provides a high level of wearing comfort and an individual fit.
Laser therapies are increasingly being used in veterinary medicine – and laservision provides the appropriate protection.
