Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves. Because we have been able to help shape the dream of the Olympic Winter Games since 1936 as part of a partnership that continues to this day and keeps writing new chapters.
We remember the big names: Ingemar Stenmark, who shaped slalom with impressive composure. Rosi Mittermaier, “Gold‑Rosi,” who made all of Germany cheer. Markus Wasmeier, the double Olympic champion who didn’t just ski, but wrote stories. And of course Georg Hackl – the luge legend who dominated the ice track for decades. They all wore our products – and we were able to be right there with them.
But our pride is not only in the athletes, but also in the diverse disciplines in which they compete: whether luge, ski jumping, Nordic combined, alpine, snowboard, skicross or biathlon – everywhere where speed, courage and precision are required, uvex is at home. Particularly impressive: In Sochi, 445 athletes started with uvex products, for the Games in Milan/Cortina it were 268. With a total of 49 medals – 16 gold, 17 silver and 16 bronze medals – uvex athletes led the medal table of the Olympic Winter Games 2026 Milano Cortina. This once again makes uvex one of the most successful equipment brands of the Winter Games – an outstanding sporting success. The new “Champions Edition 2026” created real eye‑catcher moments in the snow with the colors Off White, Black and Podium Platinum.
The close connection to the sports is also reflected in our long‑standing partnerships with the associations: for example with the FIL, which decided in 1988 that all lugers start with uvex helmets and visors. We have been working with the German Ski Association since 1972, and since 1998 also with the Austrian Ski Association, to name just a few.
Our probably greatest winter fairy‑tale moment? 2014.
That year, athletes with uvex equipment won 20 gold, 21 silver and 21 bronze medals – the most successful record of all time.
What drives us is, in the end, very simple: the fascination of winter sports. We ensure that athletes have the best conditions – clear vision, full safety, and the good feeling that they can rely on their helmet and ski goggles.
In short: uvex is not just an equipment supplier. We are part of the story, part of the emotions – and hopefully for many Winter Games to come, part of the very big moments.
By the way: Of course, uvex is also represented at the Olympic Summer Games and during the warm season! In the areas of triathlon, mountain biking, road cycling, beach volleyball as well as equestrian sports, our uvex athletes have the winner’s podium firmly in sight.
