Safety and occupational safety training is often considered dry – but the uvex academy, founded in 2005, shows that things can be different. As the first privately run training centre in its industry, the uvex safety group established in Fürth an educational institution that conveys practical knowledge in the field of occupational safety and personal protective equipment.
With 1,000 square metres directly next to the uvex group headquarters, the uvex academy has offered space from the very beginning for training courses, workshops and training sessions, which are brought to life through exercises, case studies and tests in the demo centre and are geared towards the individual requirements of customers, employees and specialists. What began as a classic in‑person training centre has developed significantly over the past 20 years: today, the uvex academy offers a wide range from analogue seminars to digital formats, e‑learnings and webinars.
The success of the Fürth location led to the founding of additional uvex academies, including in Australia and England. Despite new formats and constant adaptation to current requirements, one thing has remained the same for 20 years: the high level of competence and expertise of the trainers and instructors.
