From workshop shed to brand world - The architectural journey of the uvex group
The architectural development of the uvex group resembles an exciting journey through the company’s history. What once began in a simple shed – full of drive and visionary ideas – developed over the years into an impressive success story: at the end of the 1930s, the move to Salzstraße in Fürth marked an important milestone, before the expansion to the Hardhöhe in Fürth at the end of the 1980s offered new space for the growth and diversity of the uvex product world. uvex sports initially moved to Fichtenstraße before the unification of all business divisions at the Hardhöhe in Fürth took place in 2012 – a strong commitment to the region and to the company’s identity.
In 2014, the company building was extensively modernised and has since corresponded to the new corporate design guidelines as well as a contemporary appearance. The redesigned façade, the generous reception area, the sports bar, the redesign of the office spaces, the uvexeum (museum), the terrace of the uvexeria (canteen) and modern lounge islands create places of encounter and promote exchange in everyday working life. The architecture of the uvex group is not only a reflection of progress and quality, but also an expression of a lively sense of community that shapes the company culture and carries the Fürth location firmly in its heart. The structural elements also stand for principles that today apply to all uvex locations worldwide.
