“The world’s most sustainable earplug factory.” That is how the Swedish quality manufacturer SwedSafe describes itself. No other company is as synonymous with high-quality hearing protection as this firm, founded in 2003. uvex recognised this too and welcomed SwedSafe into the safety group just one year later (2004), thereby expanding its range of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include high-quality hearing protection. SwedSafe still manufactures in Sweden today – with a strong focus on sustainable production and in-house research and development. For instance, a large proportion of the electricity is generated by the 156 solar panels installed on the roof.
At SwedSafe, the commitment to integrating sustainability into every aspect of business has been firmly established from day one. Continuous improvement is a key component of our sustainability efforts: as a result, the site has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 (quality), DIN EN ISO 14001 (environment) and DIN EN ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety).
