In order to tap into the significant potential of the occupational safety market in the UK for uvex, the sales company UVEX (UK) LTD. was established on 26 January 1988. The start was difficult, and it was only the successful collaboration with the distribution company Arco that brought about the breakthrough, enabling UVEX (UK) LTD. to develop into one of the uvex group’s highest-turnover foreign subsidiaries in the years that followed.

The uvex training academy in the UK is a dedicated service focused on delivering expert knowledge and practical skills relating to the selection, use and fit of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Established in 2019, the in-house modular training programme delivers the highest level of objective technical knowledge to specifiers, purchasers and wearers of PPE, empowering them to make well-informed decisions and to promote a culture of safety.
