uvex Arbeitsschutz GmbH expanded its global sales network to include the Chinese market and established its own sales company in Guangzhou, China: uvex safety China.
Since 2010, the company has operated under the name UVEX (GUANGZHOU) SAFETY CO., LTD. The top-selling product in China is eye protection – primarily the uvex astrospec, uvex 9161 and uvex ultravision full-view goggles.
In addition to safety glasses, the product portfolio also includes prescription safety glasses, hearing protection, respiratory masks, safety footwear, gloves and helmets.
The Beginnings
Guangzhou UVEX Consulting Co., Ltd. was officially established as a representative office of uvex Occupational Safety, marking a milestone in uvex’s global expansion. The grand opening ceremony was attended by Rainer Winter, Stefan Brück, Peter Pang, Chen Kaizhi (Chairman of the Guangzhou CPPCC), Chen Mingde (Deputy Mayor of Guangzhou) and other government representatives and partners.
Relocation from Tianhe to Panyu
UVEX China moved into new offices in the Shenlan Industrial Park in Panyu: an investment in long-term growth and service quality. Expanded storage capacity and improved operational efficiency, achieved by integrating offices and distribution under one roof, ensured smoother processes.
PSA launch
Market launch of the complete PSA range in China. In addition, the conversion of Guangzhou UVEX Trading Co., Ltd. into UVEX (Guangzhou) Safety Co., Ltd., reflecting the shift from a trading-focused company to a provider of integrated safety solutions.
Rebranding
The company was renamed UVEX (Guangzhou) Safety Equipment Co., Ltd.
New horizons in collaboration
At the 5th National Distributor Conference in Qingchengshan, uvex safety China recorded a record turnout of over 50 attendees and more than 22 distributors.
A new milestone
Stefan Brück, Peter Pang, Victor Pang, Ullrich Ottmann and other guests attended the opening of UVEX Safety Equipment (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. The aim is to complete the local end-to-end service structure with full-cycle capabilities.

Breakthrough in certification

Innovative during the COVID-19 pandemic
Despite the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, uvex safety China demonstrated its resilience by pioneering digital customer engagement through six consecutive online seminars.
Online VR showroom launched
uvex safety China has launched its innovative digital showroom, revolutionising product presentation through interactive 3D visualisation to dynamically illustrate the core technologies and application scenarios of its entire safety product portfolio, and setting new standards for digital customer engagement within the industry.
See-Touch-Feel Showroom
An interactive product showroom was opened in Guangzhou, combining the presentation of the entire PPE range with hands-on, interactive experiences. This ‘See-Touch-Feel’ area is updated annually with new products and helps customers make decisions more quickly by combining product demonstrations with real-life application scenarios.
Sustainable PPE at CIOSH
The presentation of sustainable products at CIOSH Shanghai attracted considerable attention in the market.
In 2024, uvex safety China once again set the standard for sustainability in the PPE sector by showcasing its sustainable innovations at CIOSH Shanghai.
Partnership strengthened
At the national sales partner conference in the historic city of Xi’an, uvex safety China succeeded in engaging participants through scenario-based learning (detailed product demonstrations) and competitive activities (team competitions).
With extensive physical exhibition spaces and digitally recreated showrooms that faithfully replicate the originals, uvex safety China offers interactive, hands-on experiences for practical evaluation as well as an immersive virtual exploration. A synchronised update cycle ensures seamless alignment between the on-site exhibits and their digital counterparts across all platforms.
