After an almost two-year test phase, which generated an excellent market response and acceptance for uvex safety goggles, STRATA-UVEX PTY LIMITED was founded on May 12, 1988. Shortly afterwards, UVEX SAFETY NEW ZEALAND LIMITED followed. In 1992, uvex safety fully acquired the company and further expanded its successful market position under the name UVEX SAFETY AUSTRALIA PTY LTD.

uvex safety goggles played an important role in combating wildfires in Australia. During one of the largest and most devastating bushfires in 2020, many firefighters used uvex safety eye protection while on duty.
The Training Academy, founded in 2022, is used for training courses for dealers, end users, and uvex employees, as well as for conferences and product presentations.
